Eight startups. Four successful exits.

Since 1998, I have worked as an engineer, architect and executive. In Silicon Valley, my work at Ardent Software and Catapulse explored enterprise data and hosted development platforms. In Toronto, WorldInsure, Verax and FRS Global brought me into insurance technology, enterprise architecture and banking risk. Later, I helped build a digital bank at Varo, then brought those disciplines into enterprise AI at Tessera Labs.

Today I lead Sayaa.ai as CEO and co-founder, drawing on all of it to explore how autonomous financial systems can act within clear responsibilities and controls. Each company along the way was a small world of its own, with its people, ambitions and turning points. Those encounters, and the friendships that outlasted them, continue to shape both my work and my writing. Behind every system, there are people making choices.
